SonoLune Privacy Policy

SonoLune is built calm-first and offline-first. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data — there are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What we collect

Nothing personal. SonoLune has no user accounts and no analytics. The settings you shape — light, sound, focus, night, alarms, moments, and your private “rhythm” history — are stored only on your own device. We never see them. A backup you export stays a file you control; nothing is uploaded on its own.

Network use (content only, never your data)

SonoLune connects to the internet only to receive content, never to send information about you:

• Release notes for the Field Journal, fetched from our website.
• Optional Soundsoft Lab sound packs, downloaded only if you choose one.
• Purchases and any patronage are handled entirely by Google Play; SonoLune never sees your payment details.

These requests carry no personal identifiers.

Permissions, and why

• Display over other apps — to lay SonoLune’s calm light and Presence field over the screen.
• Modify system settings — to adjust screen brightness for the light experience.
• Notifications & exact alarms — for gentle wake rituals and to keep night sound alive in the background.
• Do Not Disturb access (optional) — to hold quiet during a focus session, only if you enable it.
• Usage access (optional) — read entirely on your device, only to know which app is in front so the per-app Presence field can appear; nothing about your usage leaves the phone.
• Accessibility service (optional) — only to keep SonoLune’s light visible over supported system surfaces; it reads no content and deliberately avoids protected screens.

Every optional permission is opt-in, and SonoLune works without them.

Health Connect

If a future version offers Health Connect, SonoLune will only write your own focus and sleep sessions into Android’s on-device Health Connect store, with your explicit permission, so your own health apps can read them. This data stays on your device; SonoLune does not transmit it anywhere.

Children

SonoLune is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

If this policy changes, the date above will change with it.
